Special Services Director, Dr.Linda Smith

Dr. Linda Smith is currently the Special Services Director, Federal Programs Director, Curriculum Coordinator, and District Test Coordinator.

Dr. Smith has served the district as assistant principal at LHS, principal of LMS, and principal K-8. She was the show choir teacher for many years before being assigned to administrative positions beginning in 2001. Dr. Smith received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette) and her Master’s and Doctoral degrees from The University of Southern Mississippi. She is married to Mason Smith, Lumberton High School teacher of U.S. History and Government, and they have three children: Marika, Mason, and Michael.

Mrs. Sapp received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Speech and Hearing Sciences from USM in 1996 and 1998. She earned full certification and received the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Hearing-Language Association and her Mississippi State Department Board of Health License in Speech-Language Pathology in 1998.

Mrs. Sapp has resided in Lumberton since 2002. She has served the Lumberton Public School District, Special Services since 2004. She is married to Reverend John Sapp, pastor of First Baptist Church of Lumberton.

Donna has been in education for 20 years with experience as a classroom teacher assistant, manager of the Parenting Center and now manager of fixed assets and assistant for Federal Programs and Special Services.
